What this space is (and isn’t)

Vent Buddy is a friendly, one‑on‑one call where you get to talk honestly, be messy, and feel heard by a real person who actually listens.

  • 1:1 video call focused fully on you for 60 minutes.
  • Gentle questions, reflections, and validation. No “fixing”.
  • Confidential space: what you share stays between us.
  • Great for stress, burnout, life changes, overthinking, or “I just need to rant.”
  • Especially helpful when something heavy is sitting on your chest and you don’t know who to open up to.
  • Supportive when you’re struggling to find the words for what you’re feeling but still need someone to sit with you in it.
Not sure if your thing is “big enough” to talk about? It is. If it’s heavy on your chest, it’s welcome here.

How a session works

Who’s on the other side of the call?

Hi, I’m a 25‑year‑old woman who has always needed to vent first in crisis moments. Before jumping to solutions, I’ve found I need to let my emotions out, complain a little, and put words to what I’m actually feeling.

As I talk things through, I usually start seeing my own solutions more clearly. But for a long time, I felt lonely doing that. I didn’t want to overwhelm the people I love or feel like “that person” who only complains and isn’t grateful enough for life.

Those experiences are what inspired Vent Buddy. I know how heavy it can feel to carry everything alone, and how powerful it is to have someone who simply lets you be honest, messy, and real for a while.

Professionally, I’m a machine learning engineer, but when we’re on a call, I’m just your vent buddy, holding space so your thoughts don’t have to sit on your chest all day.
